Symbiosyst demonstrators

Symbiosyst runs two demonstrators at opposite ends of the agri-PV range, plus a configurable scene you can simulate yourself. One tool covers the two archetypes a designer meets most often: open-field overhead and integrated greenhouse.

01 Open-field overhead agri-PV

Bolzano Demo

Bifacial panels stand on posts above field crops in South Tyrol, Italy. Two PV technologies share the site: a semi-transparent bifacial system that passes part of the direct light through, and an opaque bifacial system that blocks it. LuSim separates the irradiance into direct, diffuse and albedo and paints it across the geometry as a heatmap.

02 Closed greenhouse agri-PV

Greenhouse Demo

The closed archetype: a simplified Venlo greenhouse, a reduced model of the KUBO structure, with crops grown inside the frame and PV mounted across the roof. LuSim represents the cover with a Bidirectional Transmittance Distribution Function (BTDF) and compares crop-level irradiance under a library of validated cover materials.

03 Configurable elevated-tracker scene

Configurable Scene

The only case you can drive yourself. Build an elevated-tracker installation from predefined crops and modules, run the GPU simulation in your browser, and use batch mode to compare several variants side by side. Mark the surfaces you care about, then read the irradiance as a heatmap.
